THE ARRIVAL is a film about grief. During the Woolsey Fires in 2018, artist LITA ALBUQUERQUE lost her home & studio. This traumatic event coincided with the birth of Lita’s first grandson, Adé. This film is a love letter to Lita, Jasmine, Isabelle, Adé Albuquerque and all those affected by climate change.
The film was shot in the ruins of their home, 2-weeks aftr the fire.
